The general utilities offered by plastic items are innumerable. The plastic boxes for transporting merchandise are one of them and have excellent qualities for storage.
The material used in the manufacture of plastic boxes is highly resistant to liquids and humidity and its lattice is especially suitable to reduce freezing waiting times. This means a significant reduction in handling costs associated with the freezing of the containers.
Another special and successful application of high performance plastics is in the signaling sector. The manufacture of specific molds definitely adapts to the plastic for the injection of forms and models that adapt remarkably to all types of lenses, luminaries and protectors, collimators and reflectors specially designed for LED.
The technology of the LED has advanced remarkably during the last times and has allowed the development of forms and adaptable parts to a considerable amount of applications of signaling and security.
It is noteworthy that the consumption of a halogen lamp exceeds approximately 60 or 70% those of the LED type, which among other virtues has the ability to direct the light because the LED moves in a single range.
There are some types of high performance plastics that withstand high temperatures such as “High Heat” plastics, which withstand continuous temperatures up to 350ºC and peaks up to 450ºC. These plastics resistant to high temperatures need additional processes to their injection so they do not lose any of the properties of its texture and appearance.
And finally Peek plastic, semi crystalline thermo-plastic, of high resistance, both chemical and mechanical, is used for the most demanding applications including aerospace, automotive and all those related to the chemical process.
